International Effort to Produce a White Paper on Sterile Neutrinos

Building upon the recent Sterile Neutrinos at the Crossroad Workshop, held at Virginia Tech (September 26-28, 2011), scientists interested in the sterile neutrino have begun working on a white paper report on the current state of knowledge on the possible fundamental particle known as the sterile neutrino. The white paper will layout the theoretical context, examine the experimental evidence both for and against the sterile neutrino, detail the astrophysical and cosmological evidence, and explore the different ideas and proposals for new experiments to test the hypothesis of a light sterile neutrino.

Scientists working in the relevant fields who are interesting in contributing can learn more at http://cnp.phys.vt.edu/white_paper.
